A Nice Girl From Chicago
Renata’s Perpsective
What is a nice girl from Chicago doing — writing a blog like this??
That is a fair question. Who am I and why am I doing this ??
Who am I??
My name is Renata and Daytona Beach is my 2nd home town.
I travel to Daytona 4 to 8 times / year. My normal stay averages about 9 days.
My husband BHB (Big Handsome Brut) & I have been married for 6 years, we have 3 children.
We are an American Family — I have 2 children and Gene has 1, so together we have 3.
My daughter is 24, my son is 20, my stepson is 11.
Me – Daughter – Gene
You may also hear me refer to my twin boys — my son and his BFF were inseparable during their school years – we call them the twins. I also have a 4 year old grandson.
As my children got older my free time increased and I had more opportunities to travel.
I work for the electric company that service the Chicago area.
I work a full time 12 hour schedule, which gives me a 3-5 day work week and provides me more days off each year than the average guy who works 9-5.
I have started to spend some serious leisure time in Daytona the past few years,
This was my 2007 travel schedule::
” February for the Daytona 500
” April during spring break
” May – over the Memorial Day holiday
” October for Biketoberfest
” December for the sunshine!!
When we started coming down for the Daytona 500 in 2000, we began looking for an Oceanfront location that we could enjoy as our 2nd home. Now our quest to have our own place in Daytona has blossomed into a condo rental business that consumes a lot of my time and energy. In our frequent trips down we have also found some of the best places to go and best restaurants to frequent. We found a few bad ones too. We know our way around town and have found out a few things about traveling and special events that we could share with our fellow traveler. We are constantly searching for the next “Best” place to go and trying the new places as they open and missing the old places as they close.
We are Bikers
Nascar Fans
Spring Breakers and can fit in with almost any crowd. That is one of my favorite things about Daytona Beach, it is not a pretentious crowd, it’s a fun-loving- All American crowd. We have had a great time there with our family – friends and together.
Who am I and why am I doing this ?? the first part has been answered……to be con’t
Remember, you can’t put a price on a good time !!!
